It’s a pleasure to meet all of you! My name’s Ryan and I love to watch anime, eat dim sum, drift cars, and the color orange. Joining Kappa Pi Beta was one of the best decisions I’ve made during my time at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I joined this fraternity because I saw it as one of the most diverse organizations around campus. No other fraternity felt more welcoming than that of Kappa Pi Beta. Personally, I also joined because I was looking to find my support circle. It’s been difficult to meet people and make meaning and lasting relationships shops. Meeting my eternal brothers and getting a chance to struggle together and grow has been a life changing experience. I personally believe that I learned a lot about becoming a better man, my brothers taught me that sticking to your morals and humanity is most important in life, and I hope that as captain, I’ve taught them to be better leaders.

Thanks a ton to my Class Dad, Special Lady, Educator, Intake Process Assistants. They all are amazing inspirations for what Greeks should be like. Most importantly, I want to thank my line bros for putting up with my passive aggressive self this semester. I would also like to give special recognition to my big for finally being able to pick up.

Thank you to my LBs, biggie, educator, pops, and our special lady for bringing me up and never leaving me behind. A special thanks to the educator that built us to be stronger. As an international student, the brothers of Kappa Pi Beta have always been supportive and never judged me when I asked questions. Through my experiences with them, I have learned that it is important to seize opportunities when they present themselves. I am grateful to Kappa Pi Beta for providing me with the opportunity to meet such wonderful people.

The journey and Development I’ve gone through in KPiB is astonishing. I’ve learned where my limits remain, and learned to push past them as well. Creating new and higher limits for myself to achieve and conquer. The Biggest reasons why I was able to better myself and push past my limits is because of my Big Bro, IPA’s, P.E, Class Dad, and special lady. I Appreciate everything this Fraternity has done for me and hope to give back to it as much as I can.
